Get in TouchKamiCare Expands National Access Through General Availability
Today we’re proud to announce the general availability and national expansion of KamiCare, our vision AI fall management solution. Just four months ago, we rolled out a beta version of the solution to dozens of senior living, assisted living, and memory care communities. With enthusiastic adoption, many communities are now expanding their service as we make KamiCare generally available to more caregivers across the country.
As we reflect on the path that led us here and look to the future for KamiCare, here are 3 things we’re considering:
We are leveraging insights gleaned from beta testing – We’re constantly learning from our customers and iterating to deliver the best possible solution tailored to their needs. During beta, we heard customers’ desire for training and installation support, so we are building out a more robust offering in that area. We are updating software to ensure that if a facility loses power or internet, the sensors do not miss a beat.
We are addressing staff shortages and business needs – With the care staff crisis expected to grow and compassion fatigue and burnout at an all-time high among healthcare workers, we’re doubling down on helping caregivers help their patients. By focusing on empowering staff with technology that automates their work, we’re helping facilities reduce turnover and, as a result, improve patient care.
We are evaluating the entire patient journey – It’s often a fall that lands seniors in a care community. But we know from visual fall evidence captured by KamiCare that there are many precursors and warning signs, like intentional self-lowering, weeks or months before a serious fall. We are evaluating the entire patient journey to identify how we can intervene earlier to enable aging in place and greater well-being and autonomy for our senior population.
The KamiCare solution is close to my heart. Like so many of us, I have been personally impacted by the fall of a loved one. So it is with great joy and pride that we are able to bring the solution to market for a cause that will affect all of us one day. The team behind KamiCare has worked tirelessly to develop the best fall management solution on the market, and we will continue to refine and expand until more seniors and their families feel safe and secure – in a senior care community, and soon, even in their homes.
